Rapidly growing, young, and diverse Hong Kong based designer and manufacturer of scientific instruments for quantum information experimentation.

Currently 12 different nationalities among 16 staff across two countries. Fostering Work-Life balance with a strong interpersonal dynamics. Hiring all nationalities. Sponsored work-Visas.

M-Labs are the champions of quantum computing experimentation infrastructure, our flagship product being ARTIQ (Advanced Real-Time Infrastructure for Quantum physics), and are continuously developing systems that help describe complex experiments using high-level programming language. Furthermore, as a business delivering scientific instruments of this nature the world-over to such reputable institutions as Oxford, MIT, NIST, NASA, and CERN, to name but a few, you would be exposed to a rapidly scaling business model, and growing-ly diverse company culture.

We are looking to engage prospecting students with a keen interest in appropriate fields, or with an open eagerness to try their hands in new areas, on the never-ending journey of opening young minds to new industry, new development, and new international collaboration.

ARTIQ is a leading and cutting-edge open-source technology; 'The free and open dissemination of methods and results is central to scientific progress.'

Come help us create the next generation of software for scientific application.

About M-Labs Limited

We are a rapidly growing Hong Kong based developer of open source tools for scientific application.
Our flagship product is the ARTIQ control and data acquisition system - a programmable software and
FPGA system that runs most equipment involved in modern quantum physics experiments with trapped ions,
cold atoms, or diamond NV centers. In particular, the world's first unbreakable quantum key
distribution system runs on ARTIQ.

A list of scientific publications on some of the experiments involving ARTIQ can be found on our
website [https://m-labs.hk/experiment-control/publications/].

ARTIQ is developed in collaboration with the NIST Ion Storage Group, whose former leader David Wineland
won the 2012 Nobel Prize in physics, the Ion Trap Quantum Computing group at the University of Oxford,
and several other institutions.

ARTIQ is used today by over a hundred quantum physics research groups around the world.

ARTIQ stands for Advanced Real-Time Infrastructure for Quantum physics, and at M-Labs we are
continually developing systems that help describe complex experiments using high-level programming
language, streamlining and simplifying the design flow of quantum physics instrumentation by promoting
design reuse through development of platform-independent, open-sourced hardware and software.

You will have the opportunity to improve and extend the ARTIQ quantum physics experiment control
software, and develop firmware for scientific instruments related to ARTIQ.
