The Business Analyst supports the Product Development and Marketing and will play a vital role in bringing PIPO’s vision to life. We are looking for a self-driven, detail-oriented data analyst excited about conducting research to generate relevant data, and developing meticulous analysis on data to derive insights. The analyst should be able to think through analytical problems, understand technical systems and create scalable data methodology. The analyst will help develop and validate metrics displayed in PIPO products. The analyst will also conduct analysis on data generated by other teams within PIPO.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, generate, and validate business data for PIPO business needs
- Provide analytical support to PIPO’s data ingestion and insights
- Perform analyses and develop metrics to be displayed in PIPO products
- Manage and perform data quality assessments across large data sets
- Conduct data validation studies using crowdsourcing tools
- Formulate and communicate data insights to management team
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Other Sciences, or related technical field
- Experience in SQL (e.g. MySQL, Teradata) and data analysis
- Good balance of people, organizational, technical, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues
- Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting background
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hadoop or Presto
- Experience with Python or R
- Experience using crowdsourcing tools (e.g. MTurk or Figure Eight)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau)
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
